New and safe boats

Safety at sea is essential.
We have therefore bought new boats and engines to make sure you will have the best boat-trip possible in our beautiful surroundings. We also offer kayak rental. The boats are moored at a floating peer just outside the sea cabins.
The boats are 530 cm long and got a 25 horsepower motor.

Safety at sea:
Everyone must wear a personal flotation device on board! It is not enough just to bring it along in the boat. When we hear the term “flotation devices”, most of us think of life vests, but flotation devices also comprise other garments, such as jackets/suits with flotation elements, etc.

Maybe you will make sure that the children have put their safety equipment on, but youngsters and adults often feel embarrassed about wearing a flotation device when the weather is fine. But better safe than sorry – and drowned.

If something unexpected happens on a trip, such as fishing tackle or an oar falling overboard, nobody thinks of donning a life vest before reaching for it, leaning forwards over the rail! If you lose your grip there and then, a life may come to an end.

So always wear your life vest!

In Atlanterhavsveien Sjøstuer AS we put safety first and urge our guests to take safety seriously. In this part of Norway, the weather changes quickly and only minutes may separate a dead calm from a storm. So please listen to us, as we know local conditions, and don’t take the boat out if we advise against it.
